Caleb Groups of Schools Children’s Day Funathon



The Caleb Group of Schools organized a funathon for their students on the 27th of May 2010 in order to celebrate the Children’s Day for them.
The big event was preceded by meticulous days of preparations and rehearsals. It was obvious that lots of talents which hither to have been latent could not wait to be showcased.

The event was celebrated in grand-style and was attended by all various schools of Caleb comprising of the Caleb International School (Nursery/Primary), Magodo, Caleb International College, Magodo and Lekki, and Caleb British Academy, Ikeja.
The day commenced with a colourful match past presented by all the schools. This was followed by a short play-let on obedience presented by the Caleb International School (Nursery/Primary). The Caleb International College, Magodo also presented series of drama in French language as well as a dance drama on appropriate dressing. The Caleb British academy crowed this section of the events with a short drama also
It seemed like the day’s fun had no end as the cultural heritage weren’t left out. They also brought to light Nigeria’s rich culture as they thrilled the crowd with Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba dances. And just we all thought we have had so much for just one day, JSS 1 students iced the cake with their angelic choreographic display.
In addition, the day was so jam- packed with events that it seemed 24 hours in a day was not enough. Outdoor and indoor games were programmed to run simultaneously, The children exhibited their skills when they took on each other on Scrabble, Chess, Monopoly and Computer games. It was a day of endless fun.
There were also recitation, solo presentation, bible memory verse and lots of other exciting activities including games like bouncing castle, poker etc.
The unending fun-packed occasion was finally rounded off with a novelty football match between the outgoing students and the rest of the school including members of staff.
